Healthcare Scheduling Consultant

Job Description:
As a Healthcare Scheduling Consultant, you will play an integral part in providing strategic direction to clients on the strategic design and implementation of their staffing scheduling solutions. In this role, you are involved in a wide range of activities and project phases including business process engineering, requirements gathering, system specification and documentation, testing strategy, implementation, training, and support.
Responsibilities will include the following:

Understand and be able to articulate to clients the concepts related to scheduling in a hospital environment, including best practices, challenges, solutions, business processes, and system functionality, with appropriate healthcare terminology.

Work directly with the customer's project team to guide them through the process of designing strategic scheduling business processes, leading workshops and utilizing one-on-one sessions, and translating that design into a system configuration for deployment and a change management strategy.

Participate in the full lifecycle of a transformation project including requirements gathering, education, design, prototyping, deployment, and change management.

Navigate, configure, test, train, support, and troubleshoot the hospital scheduling system solution and the integrated time and attendance solution.

Complete required documents and spreadsheets using Axsium templates and tools throughout each phase of the project. Collaborate with an Axsium project team and a client team to execute project tasks and provide deliverables.

Lead client-facing workshops

Deliver end user training.

Provide SME support, when required, to the sales team in prospecting and lead generation
Must have skills:

Experience with hospital scheduling and staffing processes, systems, and concepts.

RN licensure is not required but is a plus.

Knowledge of healthcare scheduling solutions (Kronos, ANSOS/AtStaff, RES-Q, API, etc.) is a plus.

Experience with healthcare informatics or labor productivity is not required but will be considered a strong asset.

Strong computer skills and competent in utilizing technology to solve business problems.

Experience with using Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.

Project experience working on software implementations or process transformations, participating in multiple phases of the project life cycle.

Experience with executing a change management strategy in a hospital environment, primarily training and communications.

Proven ability to analyze, document, and communicate complex solutions and concepts to nurses, nurse managers, and schedulers.

University or college degree.

Ability to travel up to 75%.
