Andrew Needham Joins Axsium Group to Lead Global Retail Practice
Toronto, ON, August 8, 2011 – Axsium Group, the global leader in workforce management consulting, today announced that Andrew Needham has joined the company to lead the rapidly growing global retail practice.
Needham joins Axsium with more than 25 years of combined retail industry, workforce management and operational experience. As leader of Axsium’s’ retail practice, Needham’s focus will be on expanding Axsium’s existing global retail family of clients, growing and evolving Axsium’s retail workforce management service offerings, while bringing unprecedented hands-on industry and customer experience expertise to the firm’s clients.

Needham joins Axsium from Empathica, a leading provider of Customer Experience Management solutions to the world’s most respected brands. While at Empathica, Needham served as Vice President of Retail, responsible for driving growth in the retail segment. Prior to Empathica, Needham was Senior Director of Industry Solutions at Infor/Workbrain where he created and executed the global retail and hospitality strategy. His workforce management experience also includes time with TimeCorp (now, RedPrairie WFM) and TempoSoft (now Oracle Workforce Scheduler). Prior to moving from England to the United States in 1996, Needham worked in retail operations for more than 10 years at Sainsbury’s Supermarkets, a leading grocer in the UK, transitioning from Store Management to delivery of innovations such as POS, early WFM solutions and the nation’s first online customer loyalty program.
