Accruals refer to the number of vacation days, sick days, or other employee entitlements that have been earned but not yet used. Many companies allow employees to carry over a maximum number of accruals at the beginning of each year. Accruals can depend on specific criteria, such as an employee’s hire date or the number of hours worked, so an organization’s ability to properly track accruals is only possible if your organization’s attendance tracking is also accurate.
