Skills refer to whether a worker can perform a certain role in a store (e.g., cashiering, warehouse stocking, etc.). Accurately capturing employee skills is a core element of creating a good staff schedule. For example, a grocery store may require that there be a minimum of two cashiers on every shift, while a outdoor sporting goods store may need one employee certified to handle firearms on-site at all times.
